Privacy
This page explains what personal information Machintel Technologies (“Machintel”, “we”) collects through machinteltech.com, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
What we collect, and when
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You visit the site | Your IP address and basic request details, handled by our hosting provider. | To serve the site and protect it from abuse. |
| You use Ask Plato | The question you type. Unanswered questions are kept, with email addresses and phone-like numbers removed, for up to 90 days, and are not linked to you. Your IP address is used only as a short-lived scrambled value (about two minutes) to limit how fast one visitor can ask. | To answer you, and to improve the answers we publish. |
| You give Ask Plato your name and email | Your name, your email address, and the questions you ask during the chat, saved against you in our contact system (HubSpot). If you give your name and email only partway through, the questions you asked earlier in the same visit are included. You can stop the sharing in the chat at any time. | So the team can follow up on what you asked. |
| You send us a message or a question through the site | Your name, work email, company, what kind of organisation you are, your message, the page you came from and the campaign link you used, and the questions you asked Ask Plato in the same visit. If you tick the optional box to receive updates, we also record that and when you ticked it. | To reply to you and to follow up about Eidos if you asked us to. |
| You email us | Your email address and whatever you write. | To reply. |
Please do not type confidential or personal information into Ask Plato. It answers from public information and does not need it.
Cookies and tracking
The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. While you browse, your browser tab remembers your name and email if you have given them to us, only so forms and the chat can fill themselves in. That is forgotten when you close the tab. If we add tracking later, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Who else handles your information
- Cloudflare hosts the site, protects it from abuse, and runs the service behind Ask Plato, including the language processing that matches your question to our published answers.
- Resend delivers an email to our sales team each time details are saved, containing what you sent us.
- HubSpot stores the details you send us through the site, as our customer relationship system. Our HubSpot account is hosted in the United States.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Because these providers operate in the United States and other countries, your information may be processed outside the country where you live.
How long we keep it
- Unanswered Ask Plato questions: up to 90 days.
- Contact details, messages and the questions saved with them in HubSpot: for as long as we have a relationship with you or a reasonable business reason to keep in touch, then we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have further rights, and we will honour them. Email info@machinteltech.com and we will respond. Any marketing email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, and we limit who can see it. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
